The VHiSSI research programme will leverage prior and ongoing research on the emerging ESA SpaceFibre standard to provide a complete solution for spacecraft onboard data-links and networks, including robustness and quality of service. It aims to provide Europe with important network technology for on-board spacecraft use which will enhance the technical capabilities of the European space industry, enabling it to compete effectively on the world market.
